into darkness
swallowed
never again
to be seen.
Lights died
Light died
the forgotten
were forgotten
many nations
crumbled, rotten
as One
stood, whole.
Many books were written
by authors, celebrated
many fires fed
the world grew wise on a single piece of foolishness.
I listened
as the word
unravelled
breaking apart
into shards of sound
that whizzed by my head
and sunk, exhausted
into
the wall

This seems really familiar to me no matter how I reread it. I can't escape the feeling that I'm accidentally plagiarizing someone. If that's the case, someone please tell me.

umm..the only thing that popped out in mind..was probably a game prologue??--I remembered Kingdom hearts..--sorry if I'm wrong..--it's only the first part though, so yeah.
